Pizza Dinner with Deanna!

Deanna came over for dinner tonight! :) After quite some time discussing what we were going to make and then changing our minds, we finally decided to make pizza and sip some wine! Such a great idea and a great way to catch up after not seeing each other for a while. So after work tonight I stopped by Bertucci’s to pick up some pizza dough and sauce (SO inexpensive and probably several times better than store bought) then went to the grocery store and bought a bunch of toppings.

[sweet italian sausage, grilled red peppers, chicken, cheese, green onions, pepperoni, and tomato sauce]

I got all of the toppings ready and in bowls before Dea came over so when she got here we were ready to go! We stretched the dough, and had a few laughs while doing it (to our surprise it’s not as easy as they make it look on TV… who knew!), added our toppings, and then the pizzas were ready to be tossed in the oven…

We each made our own and put them in for about 15-20 minutes at 375 degrees because we wanted a crunchier crust.

[The final...]

Dea made garlic bread and a great salad with apples, mozzarella, tomatoes, and balsamic vinaigrette dressing:

Can’t wait to bring leftovers to work tomorrow! :)

Bertucci’s dough is the best! Next time I make a pizza im definitely going to use this tip. I wonder if you could make rolls as good as theirs too…

I didn’t even realize they sold their dough! I miss Bertucci’s, their brick oven pizza is good.
