Want it: KitchenAid Stand Mixer

I really really want a KitchenAid Stand Mixer. I used to be completely bored with kitchen appliances, but once I started baking, I realized how much easier a KitchenAid would make my life. Cupcakes would be amazingly simple. Cakes, a breeze. And it’s sooo pretty! I’m extremely jealous of anyone who has one of these mixers and often dream of getting engaged JUST so I can put this on my registry (that’s only kind of a joke). But, since I have less than ample counter space in my apartment kitchen and I’m not very close to marriage at the moment, I’ll have to be happy with my KitchenAid hand mixer for now. Sigh.

*Drool* And yes, I’m aware that pink isn’t a very practical color. And I don’t care.

Seriously- Who DOES have that kind of counterspace?

And the metabolism to eat that many cupcakes, for that matter?

Who am I kidding? I’d give it a run.

I’m obsessed with my Kitchen Aid Artisan Stand Mixer (I have it in red). It really does make baking everything from cupcakes to pizza dough to French bread so much easier. Sorry, this comment is not meant to make you more jealous, haha.

I have the pink one! I love it!! Mine has the breast cancer ribbon on it too. The only thing I will say is even though it’s big and bulky the pink model isn’t big enough (I mean it’s fine for just me and John but if I’m cooking for family…it’s a little small). Oh and I have NO counterspace whatsoever, I have to keep it in a cabinet and pull it out when needed. (found you guys through Michelle at Gooseberried and I love ya!)

PS. I bought mine at Williams Sonoma (hoighty toity USA) and they had every accessory known to man in pink, so I got them and coordinated my kitchen around my mixer :)

I received one for a wedding present and hot damn, it’s like the best thing ever. Maybe even worth marrying a random guy off the street ;)

Tokissthecook: Exactly. Nobody has that kind of metabolism, but that wouldn’t stop me!

    Peter: JEALOUS!

Nicole: I was specifically thinking of you when I said I was jealous of people with mixers. You also have an incredibly large kitchen for living in NYC. Yes, JEALOUS!

    Virginia: Thank you, I agree!!

Melina: Glad you found us :) I LOVE William Sonoma and loveee that they have everything in pink. You’re definitely right about hte size though.

t.b.f.love: Oh no! You mean I might be marrying a man just for the mixer and not even get the mixer?? Maybe try for an anniversary :)

Larrisa: I totally think it is. I would just make sure that I would get to keep it in the event of divorce!

It tooke me years to finally get my parents to buy me one. I’ve been begging for this mixer in pastel blue since freshman year of High School. They finally got me one this year. My desserts are so perfect and professional that I might consider taking cake decorating classes and opening a bakery business.

I adore my Kitchen Aid. I have it in black. The marriage didn’t last, but the standmixer is still going strong.
