This beautiful contraption is basically my life savior:
Friends, I introduce to you, Tassimo. Thank heavens some smart person invented this. See, I have issues making my own coffee. For some reason, no matter how carefully I try to measure the coffee grounds and water, it NEVER tastes how I want it to. And I never know how much coffee I’m going to want until I start drinking it. Furthermore, coffee grounds don’t last long enough and allegedly keeping them in the freezer does not make them last longer and is actually bad for the coffee (who knew? I’ve been doing this since college).
Tassimo solves ALL these problems. If you enjoy a cup o’ joe in the morning, but hate the way it tastes when you make it, you probably need this, too.
It makes one serving of coffee. You just put this little T-disc in and coffee is made in one minute flat; you can then adjust it to the strength you desire:

I am showing you an image of a Maxwell House T-Disc because those are the T-Discs I can afford at the moment. However, Tassimo just teamed up with Starbucks, which would make me absolutely joyful if I could afford to be. When replenishing my T-Disc supply, I didn’t permit myself to purchase Starbucks discs because, well, Starbucks discs cost $9.99 for 12 discs, while Maxwell House discs cost $4.99 for 16 discs (that would make Starbucks .83/cup and Maxwell House .31/cup. I got this machine so I wouldn’t go to Starbucks every day and could save some money). I figured if I didn’t even try the Starbucks T-disc, I wouldn’t know what I was missing out on.
Tassimo is smart though, and with my re-order, they sent me a free Starbucks T-Disc. So I obviously tried it. And loved it. I kind of wish they didn’t do that. Now I want more.
Tassimo also offers the following brands: Gevalia, Seattle’s Best, Mastro Lorenzo, Kenco, Carte Noire, Nabob, and Jacbos. You can make cappuccino, espresso, and lattes, too. And if coffee’s just not your thing, you can even make Suchard hot chocolate with the Tassimo. And chai tea that is actually pretty amazing. Tassimo also offers Twinings and Tazo tea T-discs for regular tea making purposes. But come on, how difficult is it to make a cup of tea on your own? Um, hopefully you’re thinking it’s a lot easier than making a cup of coffee. I know I am.

I get all my latest Tassimo updates at Single Serve Coffee, which has tons of information on Tassimo and similar coffee makers. It’s like a cult for people who aren’t able to properly operate a traditional coffee maker.

This is perfect.. I’m way too lazy to make coffee in the morning and I never know how much to makes… so I’d love to have this.
I wonder what all the other brands of coffee are like. I’m obsessed with trying new coffees.
I was dying to get a similar product for my home because well, I need coffee in order to operate properly and making coffee the old fashioned way was just too much work before consuming that coffee. Just about the time I was about to break down and purchase the more expensive brand I got a new job and VIOLA we have one of these in the office!
It’s great, I highly recommend.
And they come in so many different flavors.
I’m not a coffee drinker, but that thing looks so sleek and easy that I might need one anyway. For guests. And so my kitchen looks cooler.
Ooh nice.. I am a Starbucks coffee with milk type of person. I don’t drink plain coffee.
We have a Nespresso machine at home. Which do u think is better?
maxie- A lot of them I never heard of…the gevalia is really good as is Seattle’s Best. I seriously recommend this if you’re a mess at making coffee like I am.
dutchess of kickball- Seriously, if my next job has one of these, I would be the happiest employee in the world!
virginia- Haha I love it. It does look pretty…and you can always use it for hot chocolate.
pomegranate- I like Tassimo better because there are more options an coffee/flavor choices. However, the Keurig also looks awesome AND has TONS of Green Mountain coffee, which I really like (and Gloria Jean’s, and Newman’s, and Caribou!)
My hair stylist has one at their shop. It’s not really near my house but I still go for the Tassimo.
oh my gosh, that is so futuristic compared to what I’m used to!…if i bought that, i would have jitters all day long since it looks so quick and easy!
I lived in the same town as the Green Mountain Coffee factory (Waterbury, Vermont) and I would smell the beans roasting on my way home from work! It was torture!
