Saturday was Chels’s 26th birthday! Instead of staying in and having a We are not Martha-esque meal, we decided to go out and have a We are not Martha-esque dinner and night on the town. We went to dinner at Bouchee, which is one of our favorite spots for lunch and dinner as we’ve talked about it before.
I had the Jumbo Pistou Shrimp in Pesto Linguine this time and it was quite delicious.
Chels got one of the specials: Panko Crusted Salmon with grilled peaches from the Farmer’s Market…Which I totally kicked myself for not getting too when I saw hers.
Obviously we took a group photo outside Bouchee:
And Sara picked up some cupcakes from Sweet for us to dine on while en route to our next location.
And we went on our way to MiniBar, a very cute little spot in the Copley Square Hotel. MiniBar has a super cool atmosphere and is the perfect spot for grabbing a martini or two. They had a fabulous Tuscan Pear Martini, as well as a Lychee Martini. In looking at their menu, I just saw they have something called a Ginger Smash, which I can’t believe I passed by on Saturday night.

The bar is literally a bit mini though, and our party was getting quite big (what can we say, Chels has a lot of friends!). We needed somewhere else to go, but didn’t feel like walking very far. So, we simply traveled downstairs to Saint. Now, Saint is not somewhere we’d generally choose to go to as it’s more club-like than we typically like, but it was actually a great spot for a birthday celebration and a large group of friends.
(the four of us have all been friends since elementary school!)
(And this somehow ended up in the bathroom mirror. Oops?)
It was an awesome night with all of our favorite people and it made me kind of wish Chels had birthdays more often. So, happy birthday to my lovely co-blogger and friend!!
