I apologize for being a bit MIA lately. I think I have a pretty good excuse though. Besides having as much work to do as ever, my sister is getting married on Sunday! This is a huge deal as I’m the maid-of-honor and she’s my only sister. So, basically, this is probably the most exiting thing that’s ever happened in my family. Definitely the biggest deal (and the most expensive) deal! I obviously talk about my sister and her lovely fiance on here, so you know how much I love them. And how excited I am to have Adam in our family!! Not like he’s not really already.
I’m heading to my parents’ house this afternoon to greet relatives and to start really getting into the festivities with everyone. Then back to the city on Saturday for the rehearsal and dinner… And then wedding! SO many people are coming from out of town and I’m excited for our families to take over Boston.
I have my present ready.

My dress is altered and good to go (you’ll have to wait to really see it!)

Clearly I’m confused by the whole shoe thing.

And cookies are baked for the reception.

I also made a slideshow to be playing during the wedding reception. Making this slideshow definitely brought back some MEGA memories. I scanned a million photos into my computer and looked through a million more. I also saw many incriminating photos of my soon-to-be brother-in-law (adam dressed as an old lady? Really?) that I briefly considered sending my sister, so she could really see what she’s getting herself into. But I think she already knows
And hopefully my sister doesn’t kill me for posting these photos:
(or my mom and dad). This is right after my parents brought my sister home. I LOVE this photo! Even though I sadly wasn’t present for it (they had no idea how much more amazing their lives would become 2.6 years later)!

My sister and I loved playing dress-up. And we have endless photos of us gallivanting around our backyard in various costumes. Also, my super cute dog, Peaches, is in the background. Though she passed away about 15 years ago, she’s still very much a part of our family!

I have no idea why we have flowers, but I’m guessing we just returned from a dance recital and couldn’t wait to get our bathing suits on and go on the slip and slide!

On our annual vacation to Ogunquit, Maine, sitting on “our” tree on the Marginal Way.

In the parking lot before the New Kids on the Block concert. I probably started crying after this.

At my Uncle Bob’s house. I have a band-aid across my face because my uncle’s dog, Fritz, bit me the day before. Fritz was a totally harmless dog, but I was an extremely annoying child who LOVED playing with animals and probably harassed him non-stop until he had no choice.

Us last year at a Red Sox game1

During her Boston bridal shower.

During her bachelorette party cruise!

My favorite couple, soon to be husband and wife!

Congratulations, Beth and Adam!! I love you both so much and can’t wait to celebrate with you!!
Oh, I’m also pretty excited to visit them in Hawaii, where they’ll be working for a few months after the wedding! Now let wedding weekend begin!

Top left, no question!
Definitely Top left shoes! They are adorable! Have fun and be safe!
Thanks guys! I’m planning on the top left
I bought them new but they’re not the most comfortable things in the world… Breaking them in now! My dress is long so they won’t be seen to much, but I still want them to look good!
Weddings in general are fun but ”Family” weddings are the best!
I think you should go with the NINA satin looking shoe! Hope you have a great time and don’t forget to pack some tissue, just in case!
Oh how exciting for you, your family, and most importantly, your sister. Such fun photo memories! Have a wonderful weekend, I am sure you will be a fabulous Maid of Honor!
