Last night we braved the chilly Boston weather (blah!) and attended yet another blogger meet-up! This one was held at Noir, at the Charles Hotel in Harvard Square and was organized by Tina, of Carrots ‘n’ Cake. She got a great group of about 10 girls together and we were fed complimentary appetizers and flatbreads, served fun cocktails, and had the whole back wall of the bar reserved. Hooray for being bloggers

What an attractive bunch of ladies
Noir is a really cute space! Lots of seating, cozy, fun decor, dark and also intimate. Would be a perfect place to go on a date, hehe! The food at Noir was also quite tasty. The lovely and helpful staff brought us a nice spread of snacks ranging from:
• Tomato and goat cheese flatbread with basil, baby arugula, and balsamic reduction
• Italian style flatbread with basil pesto, prosciutto, salami, capicola, and fresh mozzarella (one of my favorites!)
• Spinach, bacon and gruyere with toasted pita (openly admitting that I could have devoured the entire dish on my own)
• Artichoke and parmesan dip with French bread
• Mac and Cheese with tortilla chips
You’ll have to pardon the lack of food photos on this post. The lighting at Noir is…well, there isn’t any lighting, which is what makes it “intimate”! It’s pretty dark and our photos don’t do the food any justice. So for our sake and Noir’s, we’re not adding any
For our cocktails, Sues and I both ordered one of Noir’s most popular seasonal drinks, “My Favorite Brunette”. Buttered bourbon, Vanilla Stoli, apple cider, simple syrup, fresh lemon, with a salt and sugar rim. I fell in love with the salt and sugar rim! I could have eaten a bowl of just that

Jessica, Corrine, and Patricia. We actually saw Jessica and Corrine at the Public Radio Kitchen meet-up we went to last week but didn’t get a chance to say hello, since we were sitting on opposite sides of the table. They’re awesome!

I love this photo… such an “intense” business card swap! Gotta make connections!

We are not Martha with Carrots ‘n’ Cake -WANM and CNC, if you will
On our way out we walked by Henrietta’s Table where I saw a pig! Not a real one, or course, but it was still adorable and it looked like it was “smiling”.. oink!

It was a fun night and great to meet our new blogging friends-the list keeps getting longer and longer! Thanks so much to Tina for organizing this and a special thanks to Noir for hosting us! We’ll definitely be back soon!

We’re so happy that you and the rest of the ladies were able to join us last night at Noir. I hope you all had a wonderful time. Thanks for braving the cold and sharing your Noir experience on your blog.
We look forward to welcoming you back to Noir!

I love Henrietta’s table! My husband and I went there during Boston’s most recent Restaurant Week, and we enjoyed the delicious food and laid-back ambiance.
