Using a tart pan makes the crust almost foolproof!
Can you freeze the baked crust in the pan? That would make it so easy to make a tart on a hot Summer day. You could cheat and use canned pudding for the filling. It will still LOOK beautiful.

My favorite dessert is one that you have very likely not heard of, it is a British dessert that is very rare in the United States (I myself would never have heard of it if I had not been served it in the UMass Amherst dining halls). It's called Steamed Pudding, or simply Treacle Pudding. It's so simple to make! Literally you can just pour a product called "Golden Syrup" in the bottom of a cake pan and pour prepared yellow cake mix batter on top and bake, 325 degrees for 50 minutes...it's to die for! Golden Syrup can be bought at Stop & Shop, it is usually right alongside the Karo Corn Syrup (not the same, not as good!). I highly recommend this to anyone, just try it! And one more thing--it MUST be served hot. A great wintertime dessert.

This is beautiful! I've always wanted to make a fruit tart but have been afraid of doing so since I'm not great with crusts. Your step-by-step seemed to take away the fear factor though and I think I'll try it out this summer! Thank you! Favorite non-chocolate dessert: Crepes with Nutella :)

The outcome is beautiful! I love a fruit tart. That bowl your sister gave you is so cute- how sweet is she? I'm not a big chocolate fan. I love frozen yogurt with granola and berries. Yum! Great to see you again!!!!

Susie! This looks so pretty and yummy! I love fruit tarts but I've never worked up the nerve to make one. The berries look so pretty.

You did a beautiful job! I make fruit tarts pretty much every day at Flour, and I keep thinking about posting some tips and such for them on my blog. Hopefully I'll get to it before the summer and all the beautiful, ripe berries are gone.

Whoa, that looks all kinds of good. It looks fantastic and not at all like it was your first homemade tart.
