Hello! I'm Chelsee and I'm on an organization kick! Can't stop, won't stop 😉
If you remember this photo from my office organization post a couple weeks ago, you'll remember that I said I have a fun little project coming up soon!
Well, I was recently sent a NeatReceipts mobile scanner and digital filing system!!!! Yes, I'm a geek because when the PR company approached me and asked if I'd be interested in owning one I was overly giddy! I'm talking insane exclamation points were involved. I have an intense relationship with anything sold in an office supply store. I mean, I did spend most of high school and college loyally working for Staples. And not to mention one of my most favorite times of year, over my own birthday and some major holidays, was back to school time... for the new supplies, not sitting in class actually learning useful information. And then there are extreme emotions involved when the topic of electronic gadgets for my computer are brought up. You can only imagine.
(source)
The past few times I've gone to my doctor's office I've noticed the receptionist at the desk always scans patient's insurance cards in through this small narrow scanner. Although I had no immediate need to scan insurance cards, I was obviously jealous because hello, Staples probably carries them. And to be completely honest, I really didn't even know what the machine was capable of beyond scanning cards. So when I was asked if I wanted the NeatReceipts scanner in my life, I did a little research to see what else it did. Here's what I found:
• Identifies and extracts the important information from receipts, business cards, and documents and digitally organizes them
• Scans receipts to create expense reports
• Maintains records for vendors, dates, totals, and sales tax
• Allows you to assign categories to each receipt and save digital copies for tax documentation
• Captures contact information from business cards
• Saves the actual image of the business card with each contact
• Sends contacts to your address book
• Syncs contacts to a cell phone
• Capable of creating searchable PDF files and capturing text so you can edit it.
You simply insert paper items in the scanner, hit scan, and the machine gently pulls the item through. You can also select the scan to be read as full color or black and white. Once I started playing around with the scanner, I created separate folders for Blog Contacts, Restaurant Contacts, and Networking Contacts. As a blogger I've received a ton of business cards from other bloggers, restaurants in my travels, and at networking events. I figured this would be the perfect tool to keep an electronic file of all of them, plus it makes it so much easier since everyone's email addresses and urls will be stored electronically in one place! As I continue to scan my heaping piles of business cards I'll probably find I need to create additional and even more specific categories.
Below is a view of the software once a receipt is scanned in. The software recognizes off of the receipt the store name (vendor), date, purchase amount, payment type, and sales tax. You can then categorize each receipt, whether it be a personal travel expense, business expense, a dinner, or anything in between. It's a great and simple way to keep track of your finances while saying "so long, farewell, auf wiedersehen, goodbye" to all the paper clutter!
(source)
I've been pretty impressed with my new scanner so far... it's the perfect tool to simplify and differentiate between my design and art expenses, blog related materials, and personal expenses. And with it's compact size it fits comfortably on most every desk. And it weighs 10.6 ounces so it's extremely easy to travel with if you needed!

This is amazing. I neeeeeed it for scanning my receipts since I don't currently. Pick me pick me!!
Naz says
Erm..Chels...mine was in a shoebox, now obviously overfilled and outflowing...I need one of those gadgets!!
Megan says
I've been thinking of getting a scanner like this for a while to organize all my receipts for home and office. Currently I have labeled bins they go in as I get them, then I go through the bins about once a month. Not a very good system. 🙂 As far as business cards go, I have a binder with business card page protectors where I *attempt* to organize by category. As more business cards come in, the more difficult it is to organize. I love your idea, Chels, of making digital folders.
Great giveaway!
Simply Life says
My business cards are in a box and we actually keep receipts and manually enter all of them into excel so this would be PERFECT and save me SOOOO much time! Seriously, if you're wondering who would get great use out of it, you've found her! 🙂
LIndsay @Cook.Vegan.Lover. says
I would love this! We have one at my current job and I am in the process of starting a health counseling business so I am dying to get one of my own so that I can store all of my business receipts. What a great giveaway!
heather says
I have a ton of business cards due to the kind of work I am in, and presently I store them in one of those long, narrow boxes that my own business cards came in. Sometimes, when I host a meeting with a group of people from the same company, I paperclip all those cards into one group and put them in the box, but that's the extent of my business-card organization! Makes it such a pain to find anything! This product would be so helpful!
Debb says
The things we do to organize!!! My biz cards are in a little green berry basket. OK, I do have ABC tabs left over from some earlier incarnation that keep them separated - but it drives my husband crazy because I have my own filing logic (wouldn't YOU think of looking for your stylist under H for "hair" instead of the salon's name??). I tediously enter receipts in Quicken - it's scary but a good reality check to periodically pull up a summary of just how much we spend on "X". I've heard about these scanners before but had no idea how much they did. Intriguing! And a great time saver if it works!
Jess says
Organize receipts? Nah. They usually end up in a crumpled messy heap intertwined with pens and hair elastics in the bottom of my purse! I could really use this awesome little device!
Gretchen says
Um...in a pile on my desk? Seriously, this looks like an AMAZING program!
kim says
I store business cards in a clear photo album looking contraption and can never find it when I need it. As for receipts, what a mess. They are in my wallet (making it impossible to close), they are in envelopes, they are on top of my dresser and at the bottom of bags. This product would simplify my life so much - as the disorganization drives me bananas!!!!
Caitlin says
I don't save my receipts, but I know that I really should. I think if I actually looked at where all my money is going I would be much more responsible. I've decided to be more financially organized this year, and this would be really helpful!
Amanda-The Nutritionist Review says
I store my receipts crumpled up all around my purse! Help! I need some organization help!
Wicked Domestic says
Yep, all my receipts end up in the bottom of my purse. Then they make their way into the trash! I'm terrible with keeping track of all that stuff.
Danielle says
You hit the nail on the head...I don't currently have a storage system!
tom k. says
organized and storage systen....with a 4 month baby girl...not happening!!! this neat receipts gizmo is right up my alley!!! currently all my old outdated receipts are give nto my pet bunny, marshmallow (he's all white, i.e the name marshmallow) to chew and have fun with, hope i win it!!!
Stef says
Amazing! I totally share your love of office supplies (and office supply stores) I store business cards in my top desk drawer corralled by an elastic. (Not the most efficient system) Receipts go in a plastic accordion folder by month (so I can track my monthly spending, which I never actually do :P) My BF's business cards wind up all over his dresser (from emptying pockets at the end of the day) drives me nuts- this looks like the solution!!
Sophie @ yumventures says
My receipts definitely go to the bottom of my purse, and once a month they get emptied out and thrown in the garbage! This is an AWESOME tool!
The Brunette Foodie says
I saw one of these at the store, and I ALMOST bought it! I want one so badly!!
I keep my business cards in a basket under the bathroom sink. Oh, how did it get there you ask? We moved in May, and I decided it would be a FABULOUS idea to host a dinner party the WEEKEND after we moved in. While my husband was out of town & I was 30ish weeks pregnant. I ended up hiding a lot of things just so the house looked decent. I haven't moved them yet. Not kidding.
We keep receipts in a little expandable folder. That is slightly more organized although with a newborn, organization is relative.
As in it doesn't really exist. I need this!
Christine says
Oh wow! I definitly would LOVE one of those! I currently store my receipts in a shoebox (and then the shoeboxes in the basement) and my recipies get shoved in a cabinet with the hopes of being put into a binder.
Sarah says
Ha. I store nothing. I usually shove things in various places until I find them and just throw them away.
Velva says
I have business cards and receipts all over my desk or stuffed into my calendar, or envelopes. I have been working on a catering career and this would come so in handy when organizing business clients.
What a great giveaway! My fingers are crossed.
Heather says
Well, I have one drawer (ok, maybe two) that put all my receipts that "are important" in. What, you think I may have a hard time deciding what to keep? You are right! And I also have a hard time finding the ones I think are important but I must not have kept. Sigh. Like the one I need for my Brighton purse so I can get a repair.
Oh well. Maybe I will get organized one day.
Thanks.
Spike says
was just searching for a receipt this am. I guess I just shove them all into my pocketbook and clean it out when it gets full!
Isabella says
organize receipts? ha! mine are buried in an inbox along with 3 months worth of mail....I view and pay everything online yet I still have not been able to switch to electronic statements all together. what if i need them later on?
Megan says
How fun! I keep my receipts in a shoe box.. I keep them for 3 years... then toss them... (unless of course the receipts are important!)
Fun and Fearless in Beantown says
This is awesome! I keep my business cards in a drawer in my desk at work. They are all alphabetized but still kind of a mess because they include my personal, blogging, work, and networking business cards! Crossing my fingers for this one!
Lauren says
I usually wait until my wallet is overflowing and then transfer all receipts to my desk...when the desk gets messy enough I pile them all up and stick them in the closest thing I can find, currently a Sephora bag. Embarrassing, but true. I need this thing!
Sarah @ Aubergine says
I could really use this because I do not store my business cards at all. In fact, my current "system" gives me anxiety -- they're literally scattered across the top of my dresser and stashed in books. Not good. Needless to say, I would love this.
Ali says
Sadly, all my misc. paperwork, receipts etc are stored in an old shoe box. Or crumpled up in the bottom of my purse! Surely the Neat Receipts could even help me! Thanks 🙂
Rae says
My current system is throw them in my purse... and eventually clean out my purse.
Cellar Mouse says
My system is to keep them in a box and then shred them like a year later. This would be so awesome to have.
Julie Q says
OMG. I still don't believe this machine is real. I usually have my dog eat my receipts in case the IRS ever decides to check in on us. No evidence!!! but this machine would make me do the right thing.
Lys says
How I store receipts - I'm ashamed to say I store them in a receipt envelope that gets filed with my tax papers *sigh* so old school. I transfer the numbers to an excel spreadsheet so something like this would make life SOOOO much easier. As for business cards - I hand type them into Outlook 🙁 Again - seriously old school. 🙁
Lisa L says
This machine might be the only thing that can help my household. I am the worst at keeping receipts, the absolute worst. I always intend to keep them but in a fit of OCD I throw everything out. My husband on the other hand keeps receipts for a pair of pants he bought 7 years ago and he stores them in any drawer he decides is now the "receipt drawer" in the house (note: never the same drawer) or in the glove box of his car. Tax time this year lead me through a scavenger hunt through the house looking for receipts. Business cards are in a stack in the zipper compartment of my wallet. I forget they are there half the time.
Jacqui says
Right now, I throw all of my receipts into a Target bag. Then during tax time, I go through them to add up the sales tax.The receipts end up in envelopes and go into a plastic tub for the next 7 years just in case if Mr. IRS audits me! I need the Neat Receipts machine more than you can think!! 🙂 Thanks!
Julie says
I have receipts scattered in 4 different places so if it's not in one place, I move on to the next. That's terrible. I should at least cut it down to 2 different places.. This machine looks like it could finally pull me together!
Lauren S. says
I separate my receipts into envelopes. This usually works until I overfill them and they start to rip, so the scanner would be great!
Nakiya says
Wow what a great giveaway!! I currently keep my receipts in some random box in some random drawer in my office at home. I want to be more organized 🙁
Daisy says
Um. i want this. I NEED this. I've collected business cards since i was 10 years old. I have a lovely filling system - you know those books with an individual slot for each card. each card holds great memories, to boot. Now I have about 50 cards, all restaurants I've visited tacked up on a wall in my cube at work. It's fun to look at, and I get lots of compliments. I scrapbook receipts, really I do. That way I can remember what I ate. (That was pre blog life, but sometimes, I still save, save, save.) You see why I'm the perfect candidate?!
Lexi says
I definitely do not save receipts, though I probably should, especially since I need to return something to H&M and can't find the receipt anymore! As for business cards, they are in a shoebox....
Elina says
I have piles and piles of business cards and "important" receipts that I think I may use one day. It's definitely not organized. I'd love to win this!! 🙂
LegallyBrunette says
I have wanted one of these FOR.EV.ER. I saw being used it in an aiport once and it looks amazing. I store my receipts in a drawer until I get around to grouiping them in letter sized mailing envelopes marked by type of expense and month, and then I throw them into my filing cabinet. Not. Efficient. At. All.
Marcie says
I shove 'em all in my purse--no organization!
MaryEllen says
Mine are clipped and rubber banded together in piles that I throw into a show box or a basket on my desk. This would TOTALLY help me organize not only my household paperwork, but the paperwork that is created by running 2 businesses from home that aren't remotely related (historical research/museum education & my Wildtree All Natural Cooking Products Company). The amount of time (and space) something like this would free up in my life...can't even imagine!
Kathi says
My business cards are stored in a ziplock bag! And my receipts? Forget about it. I would LOVE this gadget!
Sonya says
I store receipts in the bottom of my bag, in my car and on my desk. And I wonder why I can never find one when I need it. Yikes, I need help!
Krista says
This would be so great! I currently keep current receipts stuffed into my wallet until I force myself to go through them. Only the most important purchase receipts (those items that i might have to warranty) are kept in a hanging file that I might go through every 2 years!
Annalisa says
I use clear binder sleeves in 3-ring binders for just about everything. Within the clear sleeves I use those little curly-cue paper clips to hold things togehter with a post-it note for each type of receipt on top (gas, books, food, office equipment, etc.) I use dividers to keep things organized by quarter, and start a new binder every year.
Really, I use binders and clear sleeve for everything: receipts in one, recipes in another, then one each for fashion inspiration, decorating inspiration, art inspiration, etc.
Stephanie says
Pick me! I currently store my receipts in clear 3 ring sleeves, so this would be great!
Christine Trebendis says
Oh wow! I would LOVE one of those! I currently store my receipts in a clear shoebox and my recipes are shoved in a folder with the hopes of being organized one day into a binder.
Carole says
I keep business cards in my desk drawer (when I remember to take them out of my purse or card holder) and they are held together with rubber bands. Receipts get stuffed into a folder and are not organized at all!
Terrific giveaway--thanks!
Lacey @ Lake Life says
That is so neat! I currently store my receipts in a hanging folder in my filing cabinet. Needles to say, by the end of the year, they end up pretty wrinkled and the ink is barely legible.
Caitlin says
I have a receipt expandable file folder that I keep in my "junk drawer". Unfortunately it's empty, except for a few home depot receipts from 2008. I have good organizational intentions, but unfortunately receipts find themselves scattered all over my house and throughout my handbags!
Sarah says
Some are in a pile in a kitchen drawer. Some are in a pile in a bedroom drawer. Some are in a pile in a desk drawer. Clearly I could really use this giveaway!
Emily @ The Happy Home says
i don't store my receipts at all (I don't itemize), and i'm too much of a networking youngin' to have a collection of business cards. my boyfriend, on the other hand, is an independent composer, and has a lovely manila envelope of crumpled receipts and business cards all around the house. i'd love to get him in a status of "less likely to be audited" with this scanner!
Jennifer says
Oh man, I would love this! I currently keep my biz cards in a large, disorganized pile on my desk. As for the receipts, I do keep them in a file folder, but it could certainly be much more organized.
Hope I win!
sarah k. @ the pajama chef says
i store receipts in envelopes and folders....and it does not work very well. we have a scanner but its big and bulky and is such a pain to use. so i don't use it. i need this! please!
megabrooke says
this is sweet! usually i end up having my receipts all messed up in my wallet. i have every intention of doing things with them, but they end up all crumpled up and then i throw them out. i could totally benefit from some sort of organization system for this stuff!
AnnieCooks says
This family could so use a NeatReceipts scanner! A NeatReceipts scanner would be so much better than a nail thing that we currently use. It would be a fabulous addition to the office desk. Please pick AnnieCooks!!!
KellyG says
WOW that would keep me so organized!! I love it!
Carrie says
I would love on of these babies! My friends make fun of me because my purse is a filing cabinet full of receipts. You never know when you are going to need one. I tend to be a little OCD with my receipts. I seem to have quite the issue organizing them and this would be PERFECT! Thanks!
Mary Beth says
I would love the NeatReceipts scanner system! I travel for work and right now carry a large plastic pouch that carries all of my receipts and business cards. Everytime I need a card or receipt I pretty much dump it all out to find what I need - this would make my work life so much more organized!
Tiffany says
I have receipts in a shoe box, envelopes or somewhere lost in my purse. I would love this!
Daci says
My purse would be about 5 lbs lighter if I had an excuse not to shove all of my receipts in it!
Vanessa says
I neeed one of these (for Mac!).
My current receipt storage method is the bottom of my purse where they get crumpled, torn, and eventually become completely illegible.
Brittany P. says
NeatReceipts looks amazing! Right now the only place I store my receipts is my wallet...you can imagine how hard it gets to close sometimes! Plus, after two weeks the print on the receipt is barely legible because it's fading so badly! NeatReceipts would be a fantastic solution!
Kim K says
they are all over my apartment - so i need help storing and organizing!
Stacey Lowe says
I store business cards either in a wallet or with my old fashioned handwritten address book. After recording receipts in my checkbook i put them in a check file envelope each month and save them for a year. While Christams shopping I put all those receipts in an envelope and usually get around to pitching those in six months or so. I save receipts for taxes in a pocket folder. Not so pretty when tax time comes and I then have to compile and start a spread sheet. Sounds slightly organized but in reality my old computer desk (has no drawres) is very cluttered! NeatReceipts sounds like a great organizational tool!
delia says
My system with receipts: I collect them in a neat little stack on the kitchen counter until I decide I need to clear the space months later. Then I throw them all away. It's a continuous cycle!
Will says
I have no system so this is much needed!
Laurie says
Oh my word!!!!!!! I WANT/NEEEED THIS! Literally my desk is currently covered in stacks of receipts. Some are stuffed into a large envelope. That's my system... at the end of the month I "sort" through them and try to manually divide them into finances on an Excel spread sheet ;(
Let me repeat... I NEEEED THIS!
Nicole says
I do not have a mac.... So, this wouldnt work for me. But if it worked on a regular computer im your gal, However, I just wanted to say the company was very nice to give two away.
Patrice says
Ummm...well...I store them, sort of. I have a cardboard magazine holder next to my desk and everything pretty much gets thrown into that if it ever makes it out of my purse. Guess I should probably look into getting something like this, huh?
Courtney says
I like you love all office supplies, if I had space for a staples at home I'd have it! Currently I have envelopes for each month and put the receipts in them, I don't know what do with them after that so their stuffed in a drawer. I want to recycle them or shred them but afraid to throw them away so this would totally be a great help with my organization!
Carina says
I have my receipts in a pile on the counter. I definitely could use the scanner!
BethTN says
My husband and I both work in the entertainment industry so we save most of our receipts and we are able to write-off various expenses. We currently put them all in a tab in an accordion file along that also houses our monthly bills. We desperately need a better system! We just dump them in there and there are hundreds and hundreds of wadded up receipts.
Jan says
My business cards are in my purse, or all over the place. My receipts are in my purse, on my desk, on my other desk, on top of the filing cabinet, or if I'm feeling organized they make it into a file folder 2010 Tax Deductions.
You have no idea how much this would help me out!
Emily says
Where do I begin...I guess first by saying how not only do I follow your blog for a good laugh, a new recipe to try or to make myself feel normal...BUT I also love all your tips and tricks including the XYRON STICKER MAKER I just purchased because of the post on http://www.wearenotmartha.com - I had NO IDEA how many things are more convenient as stickers such as a business card, or receipt storage labels 🙁 I have "stickerized" my business card several times and used it on presentations, files, etc. Soooo...onto another "tip & trick" post - the "Neat Receipts" scanner was eye opening exciting! My boyfriend with whom I live - is a receipt nazi! That man cannot stand to throw away a single receipt and they are EVERYWHERE. Its not enough that he tracks every cent he spends and logs it in manually to excel in order to track his Profit and Loss every month but also feels the need to stick them in drawers, filing cabinets, and accordian files. I try to save any receipts I use for business related expenses, such as marketing materials I might pick up while out and about and/or any printing services I use as I do a lot of design on the side - well it has been difficult keeping track of receipts, keeping them seperate and theyre taking up more and more closet space every day! Please save my small Seattle apartment!
Hollie says
This is fantastic! I currently let them pile up in my purse until I move them to the bedroom closet where I let them marinate for months until I throw them away or lose them. It's a system.
carolyn~ says
My receipts are currently in a messy file on my desk...this is very much needed!!!
Bridget says
Wow that is an incredible system!! Currently I leave clothing receipts in the bags until I wear the item, and keep some important ones in my wallet that I can't even close...all else gets tossed! I think maybe this would change my ways 😉
Bridget C says
I usually keep mine in my purse or wallet until I come to the point when I NEED to clean them out. I need an intervention!
Sarah says
I put them in a drawer and then into one of 12 envelopes at the end of the month, taking out last year's same-month receipts. Would love a system like this!
theorist says
I keep mine in a set of shoe boxes. This is little gadget takes organization to another level!!! I wanna get there...
lisa says
i store the majority of my business cards in a little booklet with plastic flaps circa 1972...the man i took over for at my first job was retiring and gave it to me with all his contacts. im pretty sure half the people in it were already dead and all cards that do not make it in there are..,everywhere! i have no system and end up losing them. i would love to have it to organize business contacts vs. personal services vs. little local artists whose cards i pick up at markets. receipts follwo the same sad routine. i could use this Neatreceipts non-stop!
ellen renee says
All receipts are stuffed into my kitchen "junk drawer" and when they start falling to the floor everytime the drawer is opened - I will go through the collection and keep the ones that may be needed and throw the rest away. Not very organized at all!
Susan says
my receipts are everyone....in my purse, in my wallet, on the desk...any open counter space
Crystal Tripp says
my receipts are in my purse, car, desk...where ever they land. I would love to have a way to organize them!!
Linda says
Business cards in an old rolodex (remember those?) on my desk at work and receipts....well, I guess not really unless you count the few that make it into a folder in my desk.
Colleen says
I love your organizational skills!!! I store business cards in a really cute mug with a pretty C on it for Colleen (and craic) on the side of my bed! haha I could use this little guy for sure!
Shihwe says
The receipts go into a messy pile that get entered every few weeks into Quicken, and some (e.g. medical receipts) get put into an envelope but the business cards just get thrown into my desk drawer, unfortunately. The scanner could definitely help me reduce clutter and file taxes faster!!
kimz says
Oh what perfect timing for this receipt organizer! My purse was stolen on vacation, what better time to start a new organizational method! I'm scrambling now trying to get cards canceled and get things back in order. Help me, please!
Noel says
I have no system, so would love to win, thanks!
katie says
I have the infamous "junk drawer" that we all seem to have with stacks of receipts. Although for some reason when I actually need a receipt, it's the one that seems to be missing....great giveaway!
Katie says
I recently bough plastic business card holders. They're a sheet of plastic that fits into a 3 ring binder with little sleeves for all the cards. I was lost before them! Usually, I just used all my business cards as bookmarks and hoped I remember which one was in what novel. The method was, needless to say, not very effective.
Andrea says
i don't sometimes store them. this would be great
Janel says
I don't usually save business cards (just enter people's info in a gmail folder) but I keep a 12 folder receipt holder that gets so crowded and cumbersome by the end of the year. I'd LOVE this receipt organizer and it'd make tax time so much easier too!
Rose says
I'm really good about pulling receipts out of my bag every day or couple of days. Then they go into a basket along with any bills that come by mail.
Every couple of months I go through the basket, match up receipts to statements, discard what can be tossed and staple what needs to be kept to the appropriate statement. So I have a system, but being able to scan receipts and discard those I don't need to keep on a regular basis would cut the clutter.
Jessica says
I currently have one of those big clear plastic tubs that holds hanging file folders. Theoretically I have one folder for medical receipts, one for banking, one for insurance, etc. I try to go through twice a year and clear out what I no longer need, but I'd much rather have an online system, since that is how I budget.
Liz says
This looks amazing. I am moving back to NY from Chi in a few weeks and would make my move even easier as I have all my receipts/papers/business cards in various Vera Bradley bags in my closet!
Amanda says
Right now I keep receipts in my gigantic wallet, and recipes are in a recipe card tin that I got from Macy's (M.S. - of course!), in a drawer filled with cookbooks and all sorts of other mess. It would be so nice to have a better way to store everything, since it always takes me so long to find what I'm looking for!
Johanna says
I store them in shoes boxes from the container store! #fail I need neat receipt's help!
Tania says
My husband and I actually scan our receipts in on an old flatbed scanner. This takes forever. He has his own business though so we have to keep track of the different expenses.
Sally says
Had a big weekend with my daughter's birthday, lots of out of town company, and 15 guests for lunch today, so I had a carefully balanced heap of receipts on my desk until my son knocked them off! So I stuffed them in the desk drawer. This would be very cool to arrange and catalog receipts so they were useful!
Jessica says
Oh my goodness, that looks AWESOME! Currently, I have NO METHOD of organizing receipts and other papers. They float around in my bag until I get tired of them and then I stuff them in a shoebox. I need help!
Sue says
Popped on over to check out your Moroccan spice mix for the roasted chickpeas, which led me to our Southwest Lentil Cakes and here I am a half hour later checking out this snazzy little scanner post of yours. Thanks for the great website, plan to pass it on to others!
Spencer says
I usually keep cards in a pile, stuffed away in a little business card holder. In other words, it is a mess. I try to be a little more organized with receipts, but that goes as far as putting them in a folder. I would love a way to keep them organized. 🙂
Kathy says
organization? files, boxes, rubber bands & paper clips. Neat Receipts, please!!!
Alicia says
I fell in luv with neatworks and purchased the desktop model for my Mac, when they first rolled out last year in April. To undergo, a ten year purge of records. I have an obsession to keep everything, however orderly. Not completed, but I have started to scan everything from business cards to receipts, all types of documents and loving every minute of it!... I travel a lot for work and play and would love to be able to scan random stuff, like articles, flyers, brochures without lugging papers back home to meet my inbox pile.
michelle says
Hi,
It's my first time here and voila I see that gadget you will be giving out which could be very useful for organizing and tracking out our family's expenses. I tried to record our expenses in an excel sheet for 2 years now but to no avail.
And I used to keep all the receipts in an envelope but after a month or so, the information fades away so I ended throwing them in the garbage bin. So this NeatReceipt scanner wil be the solution to track all our expenses smoothly. Please pick me up...
Darrell says
I think i am some what organize. I have a nice size suite case that i throw all my receipts. It might not be organize, but I do keep them. To get NeatReceipts Mobile Scanner would give me more room in my house. Than I can use my suite case for going on vacation. Please pick me.

My receipts gather dust on a small table near a window. Most of the time they get bleached from sitting in the sun. I have an accordion folder to put them in, but they never seem to end up there...its too hard to find them when I need them. Being able to search quickly for the right receipt would be amazing!

I put all my receipts in a credit-card folder which I go through when the bill comes. Any receipts that have a tax impact stay and get filed with that year's taxes. Everything else gets tossed. It would be great to digitize them.

I keep business cards in a Longenberger basket on my desk. Not exactly idea when your looking for one in particular.

I keep my business cards in a card file folder. Nothing fancy, but I would like to do something different. They are not in alphabetical order, so when I am looking for particular one, I have to flip through the entire book.
You may cringe, but I store my receipts in an envelope! While the envelopes work, again, if I need business related ones, I may not be sure exactly which envelope I've stored it in! Of course, by tax season time, I may have 4-6 envelopes!

OMG I need this!! I currently put all my receipts in a box and hope and pray that I don't have to go find anything in there - EVER!
I thought I was the only one that got a little giddy when it's time to go buy new office supplies 🙂

I try to keep receipts I think I need again in my wallet, but then my wallet gets too picked. So I put them in my nightstand and then that gets packed and I just throw everything out. Clearly I need help!

Right now things are in the bottom of my purse, in file folders, on my bedside table... everywhere I could TOTALLY use this.

The ones that are fortunate enough not to get lost, I keep in stacks held together by rubberbands. Then these stacks are then placed in an old shoebox. This is great for archiving your business cards in case you never want to look at them till decades from now. HA! please hep!

HA. Organize? I do track my expenses, but business cards are a total loss and this would make expense tracking way easier, too.

Right now, all receipts get stuffed into the back of my travel lug wallet until it reaches critical mass!

All my receipts currently get stuffed into an envelope, not really in any order. Heaven forbid I ever need to locate a particular receipt!
Jamie says
Yeah....umm, no such organization system...yet! This would be amazing, as my husband and I are totally awful at keeping track of these things!

My business cards go in a pocket in the bag I am carrying and occasionally get placed into my wallet until it can no longer shut. Then they move to a stack in no particular order on my table which periodically gets moved around to a drawer or a shelf, AKA a safe spot where I will always knows where to find that business card. My receipts usually end up in my wallet which then gets moved to a pile next to the business cards which then go into my check book. You can only imagine what that looks like!!! This gadget would come in very useful, especially with starting up a little business of my own! Thanks for sharing info on such a cool item. My fingers are crossed that I am the lucky winner!!!

I put all my receipts in an envelope for each month - business cards go in a little drawer. It sounds organized but it's mostly a disaster - everything still feels everywhere and I still have trouble finding a receipt when I really need it!
