Our readers define us as food bloggers.

We’ve been friends since we were 7. Of course, we’ve always been food lovers, but never really talked about our obsession as kids. We clearly thought about it a lot when we filled out our 5th grade yearbooks

Cue to 15 years later when we both moved into our first apartments in Boston, fresh out of college.

Still close friends, we lived down the street from each other and were both ready to start utilizing our new kitchens. Cooking at home became a necessity for us and we set right in, teaching ourselves various techniques and skills and attempting to learn from our idol Martha Stewart. We quickly realized many of our friends weren’t jumping into cooking like we were and they were constantly in awe of what we were doing in the kitchen. But cooking isn’t that hard! If you can read a recipe you can cook. What were our peers afraid of? We started by introducing Wednesday night post-work dinners. No, we certainly weren’t Martha Stewart, but we were trying and people seemed to be impressed. And isn’t that all that counts?

So, we decided to start a food blog. We hoped the blog would encourage first, our friends to get in the kitchen, and then, 20-somethings all over the world. Soon we realized we had readers of all ages. And it is their messages to us that make us want to be better chefs and food bloggers. After working hard on cooking a meal, photographing it, and blogging about it, there’s no better feeling than learning we’ve inspired someone else to get in the kitchen. Or that we’ve taught someone a skill they didn’t have prior to reading our post. Or that we’ve encouraged someone to actually try making a dish instead of buying it pre-made. Daily emails and messages from readers all over the world are what motivate us to continue pursuing our passions by blogging about our adventures with food:

We became food bloggers because we wanted to inspire and encourage people to get in the kitchen and start cooking their own meals. In the process, we’ve:
Attended Fabulous Events

(Martha Stewart blogging show)

(Boston blogger holiday meet-up)

(Boston wine expo)

(covering Taste of the Nation as press)

(how2heroes 1 year anniversary party)

(Taberna de Haro, Clementines of Spain lunch)

Been featured in multiple media outlets

(Boston Herald picnic photo shoot)

(Boston Globe article)

(Andover Townsman cover story)
Worked with notable companies

(Butterball corporate offices, 2009)
Interviewed a culinary celebrity

(Interview with Bethenny Frankel, author of Naturally Thin and Skinnygirl Dish)
Discovered new restaurants

Found our new favorite cupcakes…

… and didn’t need to justify eating an entire box.

(Mix Bakery cupcakes)
Created our own culinary masterpieces

(grilled avocado with tomato and corn salsa)

And had a whole lot of fun

(cupcake tasting with friends)

We believe that we are the next food blog stars because we are constantly putting our readers first. We only share events on our blog that will teach us and, in turn, teach our readers. Whether we’re cooking a new dish, dining at a new restaurant, or trying out a new kitchen product, we always have our audience in mind.
We’re taking our readers on a journey with us, so we can learn together. We are not Martha. We are two childhood friends with a passion for learning about food, cooking it, sharing it with the ones we love, and pulling out a seat at our kitchen table for you, our reader.
This is Foodbuzz’s Project Food Blog. There are 2,000 bloggers, 10 challenges, 1 winner. If we’ve inspired you, please show your support and vote for us starting on September 20th!
Thank you for being our reader. And inspiring us.

I’ve used many of your recipes for friends and family and have always gotten many compliments. Good luck and keep up passing on your inspiration!
Cheers to the both of you! You were destined to share your passion for food with others.
There is no greater force that sustains our bonds with each other, than the grace of sharing a meal.
I hope you both will continue this journey.
